OUR WOODWORKING SHOP

The Iowa Home Crafters shop give us the ability to customize and personalize your project in a variety of ways. From a unique fireplace mantel to an entire kitchen, Craig Holden and Chad Eells can literally do anything related to wood working and fine furniture.

Some of the many projects that have come out of our shop include, cabinets of all kinds, custom entry doors, bath accessories (towel bars and paper holders), counter tops, interior doors, furniture repairs, tables, chairs, light fixtures, all sorts of moldings, picture frames, you name it. We have taken a 1928 upright piano and converted it into an entertainment center, entry table, two clocks, and an interactive wall display. We even used the piano keys in a custom entry door.

Wood carving and stained glass work can also be done.

In our shop we use native Iowa woods that have been milled and kiln dried right at our facility in Ames. We also use FSC certified plywood and formaldehyde free particle board in our projects.
